As a Hypnotherapist, my therapy is individualised and client-based, this ensures it is effective and informative, focusing the therapy on the client is said to increase the likelihood of success. My aim is to work in partnership with my client to understand the whole issue. To do this I employ four underpinning elements.

Positive suggestion and imagery can create a change in the motivated client however sometimes we block change to keep ourselves safe. What can be seen as an annoying habit or embarrassing behaviour is often our minds way of keeping us away from situations we do not like, very much like the primitive fight or flight response.

In order to create change sometimes, we need to understand where the issue began, this is often in forgotten memories. These memories frequently have a variety of perceptions attached to them which can be misleading or incorrect. The subconscious does not know the difference between what is fact and what is fantasy, it responds to what is imagined just as though it is real.

For example, an experience with a dog as a small child is frightening and that child believes that all dogs are scary, this perception is carried through to adulthood and the fear is still very real Using a logical and knowledgeable adult perspective this new understanding may then release this fear. For the client to recall these memories a hypnotherapist uses deep relaxation to enable the client to access their subconscious. Once these memories are remembered and understood we move on to releasing the cause of the issue.

A hypnotherapist has many techniques to call on to create this release which enables the client to forgive or release in a way they are comfortable with. This can create a resolution of the issue. Finally, the client is guided through deep relaxation to re-learn and understand their issue utilising an adults’ perspective using positive suggestion and guided imagery, so creating a new outlook on their problem.

Hypnotherapy is widely endorsed as a treatment for habit breaking, behavioural change and stress-related issues. and in recent years has been gaining credibility in the medical world after a recommendation from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recognised hypnotherapy as a treatment for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

Sessions are available over Zoom for national  clients. 



Your intial session will be on average 1.5 hours, subsequent sessions will be 1 hour, I do not charge any extra for an initial session.
